When Liam Fox isn’t masquerading as a charity or holidaying in Sri Lanka with Adam Werritty, his bestest chum, he likes to run his mouth in front of think tanks and lobby groups amenable to his far-right, Atlanticist, military-industrial point of view. There’s money to be had in dodgy defence deals and fake reconstruction projects, not to mention buttressing climate change deniers and small government ideologues, and Fox is always eager for his slice of what is after all a very large pie.
But is this man, who already lost one ministerial post owing to brazen corruption, just smugly stupid or is his brain encased in too much fat? Is Liam Fox mentally lazy and otherwise grossly overstuffed? It’s a simple question with a simple answer, leaving the rest of us enough time for an afternoon of golf.
